If you are wondering why choose Royal Life Centers at Spokane Heights, a key benefit to our programs is Royal’s world-class holistic addiction treatment. We are a dually-accredited, full-service drug and alcohol detox and treatment facility network. As a part of Royal Life Centers‘ addiction treatment network, we commit to treating substance use disorders in the safest, most effective way, from detox to outpatient. We do this by always putting the guest first and by hiring only the most qualified staff, maintaining top-notch facilities, and providing world-class holistic treatment.
Our commitment lies in creating a nurturing and compassionate environment that fosters healing. This dedication goes beyond delivering exceptional medical care; it extends to the very words we choose to address individuals in our treatment programs. By using the term “guest,” we aim to ensure that every person feels valued and embraced as they embark on their journey of recovery.
At Royal Life Centers, we operate on a biopsychosocial/spiritual model, meaning that we collectively treat the mind, body, and spirit. Essentially, holistic treatment is the idea that incorporating multiple modalities of treatment— individual therapy, group counseling, art therapy, and more, for example— is the most effective way of treating mental and/or body disorders.
A typical day in detox will consist of five groups and three meal breaks per day. You will see a doctor daily, along with medical observation around the clock. We use a method called Q-15, which requires a qualified staff member doing a verified check on each guest every 15 minutes. You can read more about what to expect in detox and view a sample daily schedule here.
Guests may smoke, chew tobacco, or vape in designated outside areas at scheduled times while in detox/residential treatment.
You should limit personal belongings to four to six changes of light, comfortable, and modest clothing (no profanity or drug/alcohol references). We recommend you bring essential items like your wallet and cell phone.
Detox length is determined based on a medical assessment on arrival and will be either four or eight days.
Due to HIPAA laws, we cannot, by law, release any information about our guests unless they have provided us with written consent. Staff performs a “safe call” upon a guest’s arrival to our detox facility, to assure family/loved ones that they have arrived safely. Because we are a closed facility, guests have limited phone access. However, guests are permitted one call a week that is supervised by their therapist.
Royal Life Centers believes our guests should maintain personal focus while in our detox and residential treatment level of care, however, guests are allowed to leave the property during the 12-week program for family visits.
While in detox or residential treatment Royal Life Center’s goal is to help the guest maintain focus on themselves, therefore personal cell phones, computers and or any electronics with the capability of accessing the internet will be placed safely in our safe until completion of treatment.
Guests may bring cash or debit cards to purchase cigarettes at the facility if they would like, food and snacks will be provided by Royal Life Centers.
Appropriate books are acceptable as well as art supplies within reason, i.e colored pencils, and small sketchbooks.
