Royal Life Centers provides comprehensive drug and alcohol addiction treatment programs at various levels of care. After completing our inpatient programs, we highly recommend our 12-week aftercare treatment for continued support. Research shows that continuing care after inpatient treatment significantly improves a person’s chances of maintaining sobriety.
Throughout each level of care, we offer addiction education, therapy, and relapse prevention planning to promote self-awareness, insight, and the development of essential coping skills. As a part of our aftercare services, we incorporate engaging and motivating activities to further enhance your recovery journey.
What Happens After Detox and Residential Inpatient?
After completing our detox and residential inpatient treatment, guests can seamlessly transition into our 12-week aftercare program. This program acts as a bridge, guiding individuals through different levels of care and helping them move toward independence. Starting from this program, guests are allowed to have their cell phones and may utilize them throughout the remainder of their time in treatment.
Our aftercare program is offered at our outpatient facility, Royal Life Centers at Cascade Heights, which is conveniently located less than fifteen minutes away in Mead, Washington. Upon entering treatment at Cascade Heights, guests begin their time in our 12-week step-down program that combines partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient care. For those seeking a supportive living environment, we also provide sober living residences where individuals can continue their recovery alongside others in early sobriety.

Aftercare Services at Royal Life Centers
Royal Life Centers offers a comprehensive approach to addiction treatment which encompasses and full continuum of care. For this reason, our aftercare program provides support and guidance following the completion of detox and residential inpatient treatment.
Our aftercare program consists of two levels of care:
Offered at our outpatient facility, Royal Life Centers at Cascade Heights, aftercare services are provided over the course of 12 weeks. As a step down from inpatient care, these addiction treatment programs are best suited for guests who have been medically cleared and no longer require monitoring 24/7.
During aftercare, our compassionate and experienced team of professionals helps guests develop the skills they need to maintain sustained recovery. By participating in individual counseling, group therapy, 12-step meetings, and sober living after detox and residential treatment, you can get the help you need to recover from addiction.
Our Aftercare Program
Royal Life Centers’ aftercare program provides a smooth transition from treatment in our medical detox and residential inpatient programs as guests reintegrate back into society.
Our 12-week aftercare program consists of 4 weeks in PHP and 8 weeks of intensive outpatient.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Royal Life Centers at Spokane Heights designed the partial hospitalization program to follow guests from their treatment in medical detox and our residential inpatient programs. Our partial hospitalization program is for guests who have been medically cleared and no longer require monitoring 24/7.
PHP itself runs for four weeks and provides a less structured environment than inpatient care. As the entry phase of our 12-week program, PHP offers more flexibility and freedoms to prepare guests for a transition back into society. Likewise, PHP provides support, a sense of accountability, and a step towards self-sufficiency.
Like all of the treatment options available through Royal Life Centers, the PHP program allows guests to take an active role in the creation of a treatment plan that best serves their recovery. Guests will work with their case manager and primary therapist to develop a tailored treatment experience. The 12-week program consists of four weeks in PHP and eight weeks of intensive outpatient. Nightly check-ins with breathalyzer devices, as well as random urinalysis testing, provides consistent accountability for all guests.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Following the completion of PHP, guests transition into our intensive outpatient program (IOP). IOP is the second phase of our aftercare program, lasting for another 8 weeks. During IOP, guests receive continued therapy and support as they re-enter daily life. Our counselors, doctors, and therapists provide individualized treatment plans to help our guests build a solid foundation for lasting sobriety.
Guests at the IOP level of care complete two 4-week phases. In phase 1 of IOP, the transitional phase from PHP, guests attend one three-hour group therapy session, five days a week (Mon-Fri). In phase two of IOP, group therapy is held for three hours a day, three days a week (Mon-Fri).
With an emphasis on creating healthy habits and lifestyle changes, Royal Life Centers’ IOP will assist in achieving long-term recovery. We understand the importance of providing comprehensive care that supports lasting well-being – this is why IOP is such an important part of our program.

We also provide sober living options during our aftercare and outpatient programs at Cascade Heights.
